other night i happend to ask for acarcia strain, and got told its too heavy.. as if dj's dont even take requests of like 10 people. The music in oxygen

but my main point is 'Industrial'; what the heck is 'Monkey Say, Monkey Do..' , if you want Industrial - Barnsley has plenty industrial estates for you to visit.

now we all know about the state of 'The Room' its become a peado's Dream! But why has it not been shut down yet? and why the heck are some few civilised people drinking there?? ugh sum1 bring Garry Glitter darn to Room

so basicly, play some decent music before everbody gives up, play something new but not industrial - new metal appears daily, so why resort to 'Monkey's?

To be fair, If Jason doesn't have the music you are asking for, If you either make him a cd or take one in to use for the night he more often than not plays it for you. I took an EBM/Industrial cd in with VnV on and he, most likely, hadn't heard the song before but he played it, and it went down well. SO my argument is this, If you bring in new music and it ends up going down well (ie - on the dancefloor) then he will end up playing it again and songs like Disturbed will end up fizzling out (Sorry but - Thank God on that one) He just has to play them for the 'new scene' alternatives who don't know many songs apart from the popular ones, PLUS I suspect like most DJ's he is paid to fill the dancefloor, and correct me if I am wrong here Guys, but those songs generally do

dont know how often you been in bud but i think you should check your facts...i only redownloaded bodies 2 weeks ago due to my cd being scratched and unplayable. and i have not been bashing hardcore at all, if anything i been supporting it more than any othe syle during a night. nothing else gets a solid 90 min set. i dont personally like it but i play a hell of a lot of it. hellbound it advertised as a rock night not a metal night... by your standards i should not play any punk or ska or industrial or comercial or even classic rock. sorry but fuck that. i try to play a bit for everyone. i dont discriminate. if you or other hardcore fans cant be bothered to come in till after the music they been asking has been played for its hardly my fault. the excuse they give is they dont like comming in if no ones in. but if they came then there would be people in wouldnt there. as for the dnb stuff i dont think it belongs on the night but as i said before its what the MAJORITY want. and even at that they get 3 bnd songs mayby 4 max.. rest like msi and sheep on drugs and combichrist are industrial. if your confused as to what that is look it up.. its on wikipedia. classed as electroMETAL fusion. rock is not just limited to scremo hardcore. its the most widley varied genre of music that exists. i try to introduce more varying styles and eventually some of them will catch on. its just a matter of keeping playing them untill they are known. and as tanya said i do play what people bring or ask for and am activly trying to replace the overplayed songs but people keep asking for them. if i dont play them and they complain or leave then we lose the night and everyone loses. simple fact is if you hate the night as much as you say then stay away. a night out is primaraly socialising. thats why i relaunched the night. not to have the crowd devided and sliced up by people ove styles of music. its ment to be a community not a forum to slam what you dont like and run down those whos opinions differ from yours. if you want to be that opininonated then simply stay away. we are all better off for the absence of small minded idiots like you.

you just showed how little you know about this. 3 times? we been open 3 months. steve is there every week without fail. he has the right to critisize. but you dont. i do play classic rock.. this weeks punk set was the most popular part of the night and as i keep saying over and over metal gets played a hell of a lot. yes so dose comercial and im sick of of saying this but I AM ONLY PLAYING WHAT IM ASKED. and this week as soon as hardcore was asked or within 20 mins it was played. everyone else here has been puting comments forward that are constructive where as you are just trying to get a rise. if i was ignoring hardcore i could understand it but im not. im not ignoring any part of the scene . and i think thats your problem. you dont like it so it must be shit. well you can take your ball and stay home or better still go off and start your own night somewhere else, make it pay and keep it open. then you can critizise me.

Good Bands: Despised Icon, Carnifex, Walls of Jericho, Decapitated, All Shall Perish, WhiteChapel, Cataract, The Faceless, Emmure (old stuff).. it shudnt just be for the first hour and a half in my opinion and the only reason i think its empty for the first however long is cos people are still drinking down in courthouse and other places untill around 11-12!

Everybodies music taste is different 'Remember_Metal' Guy, I *personally* FUCKING HATE punk, and hardcore and thrash n emo n all that shite and listening to a full night of that would make me want to rip my fucking ears off, as I'm sure alot of people would - but I don't grumble like you are doing, being an stupidly opinionated bumwipe, If *YOU* were the DJ we'd most likely get that crap played all night and then other people who like metal and industrial and EBM etc would be bored shitless.. A bit of everything gets played and most people at *some* point in the night are suited in some way, and if you don't like it then don't fucking come out, go to Sheffield or something..

will try to make sure i have something from each of these for this week and ill try to space the hardcore out through the night. might be one or 2 tracks at a time but ill try. think a lot of yje ,etal crowd might be off to see meshugga on weds tho. but i will still play them for you. and tanya thanks for talking sense here. it apreciated

no matter what jase plays, even if he plays all your favorite songs but plays one song a bit different, you'll hate him
people like different music. get over it. the term "rock" covers a lot of shit
so eather, if you go out, carry on going out, have a laugh, chill out and fun
if you don't, try going out n actualy see if you like it before you critasise
