Anonymous members

I don't like em.

It's hardly in the spirit of a community/networking site like this to leave..
no picture,
no contact info,
no information on the profile page,
and no links to other sites that have.

I'm only talking about people who are willingly anonymous,
like "Plop"..

I can't see any benefit to allowing it at all?
It's just an open invitation for banned members or other un-wanteds to cause mischief and such.

As far as I'm concerned if someone is posting, we should at least be able to see who that person is!
We all know how opinionated message boards can be.

That's just my opinion on the matter anyway... I could be wrong.
I'll leave it up to the group to vote.

"Yes" we should allow willingly anonymous members, or
"No" we shouldn't

this may be just because plop is a close friend of mine... or it may be otherwise, ill let you decide.
but i do see a benefit. some people want to keep themselves to themselves, but still want to appreciate good music with others. i don't see a problem with that.
i've known plop for years and thats just how he is.
there are random and strange things that he keeps to himself... like i don't even know his real name :S but this is besides the point...

all i am saying is, some people have a reason to stay anonymous, and may add information at their leisure.

i'm going to stop talking tripe now!
i love you guys really. this is just my opinion.

That is a little ironic because we banned him because we didn't know who we were dealing with. Sorry plop but that is a very hypocritical thing to say.

Besides if you were anonymous why the would you call yourself Plop?

Who knows tho he could have had his name changed by deed poll!

2.The "reason" some people want to be anonymous is what worries me, as someone pointed out there are under age people on here too.
3. We may have established the "Plopster" as a nice guy, does that mean the next time someone joins and refuses to give any info on who they are I should just let em get on with it?

I have seen alot of fakes, and have had fakes of me and it can be abit wierd, if somone is posting and you dont know who they are and what they are like ect, it is abit wierd.
So yeah they could atleast give us some idea of what they are ?
Because it is abit stupid anyway if they have joined and it is just blank.

Why join a group and stay anonymous.
Also, the administators have an obligation to protect the group, insofar as they can, and how can they do this when anonymity effectively grants the right to act without fear of reprisal.
